MEETING AND EVENTS SERVICE INTERNSHIP
As a Meeting and Events Operations Intern, you are responsible to deliver an excellent brilliant guest experience during our Meeting & Events. You ensure that all tasks carried out in the M&E department comply with standard operational procedures to uphold brand standards. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner
- Coordinate the meeting or event on the day itself.
- Up-sell with latest departmental incentives.
- Manage meeting set-ups according to brand standards.
- Host diners, receptions, conferences where the guest is the center point of attention.
- Experience delivering creative breaks, cocktails, lunches and dinners.
- Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure compliance of brand standards.
- Strive to achieve departmental targets.
- Ensure cleanliness of work areas.
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.
- Comply with local licensing laws.
- Be environmentally aware.
- Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships.

Who are we looking for?
You do not need to have experience in the hospitality business, but an affinity with hospitality is a must. To fill this position successfully, it is important that you have the following skills:
- Passionate about hospitality and F&B.
- Flexible to work a varied schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
- Highly organized and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment: stays calm and professional.
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills at all levels.
- Good verbal and communication skills in English. (Dutch is a plus).
- Pro-active, reliable, dynamic and flexible person at all times
- Experience in a global Hotel chain and customer faced role is an advantage
- Ability to work independently and in teams
